Friends of Pitts Wood
First Year of the project
Having cleared a path into the wood we started to remove 10 years worth of rubbish and fly tipping. With funding from Doorstep Green we prepared a Vision Plan helped by Groundwork Birmingham.
Our initial aims were
- to secure the boundaries of the site
- to create a public entrance
- to make the wood safe
- to raise awareness of the value of the wood to the community and local schools
