OLD PARK WOOD

Events

The first ever Old Park Wood event was held on saturday 2nd June 2007. This was a day in two halves, run by local Underwoodsman, John Waller. In the morning he lead a woodland walk, using this to look at woodland managemant issues, and giving guidance on practical strategies to improve the wood. In the afternoon he ran a practical workshop, making greenwood benches. At the end of the afternoon the group had made a number of benches and had added considerably to their understanding of woodland management.

The next event takes place on Saturday 20th October - a fungus hunt with an expert mycologist.
